A letter from Ken Craft – CEO, Hope of the Valley Rescue Mission
On March 23rd, Hope of the Valley became the service provider at two new Covid-19 pop-up shelters for people experiencing homelessness located at the Granada Hills and North Hollywood Recreation Centers. Onsite the following is provided: Medical Staff, personal storage, showers, 3 meals daily, cots with blankets, isolation room and more. WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We are asking the local community for assistance. Our trucks will be parked outside of each Recreation Center from 7 am to 11 pm to receive donations. No need for you to go inside the shelter. We need clothes for men and women, undergarments for men and women, sweatshirts and jackets, shoes, pants, t-shirts, feminine hygiene products, coffee, creamer, and snack items.
Recreation Site Location Address:
- Granada Hills Recreation Center: 16730 Chatsworth St
- North Hollywood Recreation Center: 11430 Chandler Blvd.
Online donations are always needed: www.hopeofthevalley.org
In the shelters, we practice social distancing and the highest levels of personal hygiene. Clients’ temperatures are checked 3 times daily.
Help us Help Them!
We need each other to make it through this crisis.
* Woodland Hills and Northridge shelters are scheduled to open soon. Hope of the Valley will be the onsite service provider of both.
Thank you for your compassionate generosity during this time of uncertainty, concern and great need.
