The six candidates for the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, District 3, will discuss local issues at a forum Thursday.
The six candidates for the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors, District 3 will face off on Thursday at a forum hosted by four local news outlets.
Come June 7, six candidates will look to replace Sheila Keuhl on the Board of Supervisors’ massive 3rd District (Click for map), which covers much of the San Fernando Valley and communities from Malibu to Hollywood.
Kuehl decided not to run for re-election in District 3, which covers much of the San Fernando Valley and communities from Malibu to Hollywood.
District 3 will look a bit different this year. California election districts changed as a result of redistricting, meaning locals may find themselves in a different district with a different incumbent than in the last election. District 3 changed to include more of the San Fernando Valley but lost some of Hollywood to District 5.
District 3 also lost some of its landmarks, including the Hollywood Bowl and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, according to Beverly Press.
The Acorn, Circling the News, the Santa Monica Daily Press, and the Westside Current will co-host Thursday’s forum, which will take place virtually from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday. RSVP online to watch the forum.
Some candidates have participated in forums before, but all six candidates have yet to come face-to-face to discuss key issues in the June 7 race.
