The City of Los Angeles provides free weekly pickup of bulky items such as furniture, sofas, wood cabinets, metal household appliances, etc. There is no additional charge for single- and multi-family units if the City is picking up residential belongings or abandoned items. Simply dial 311 and make your request or download the MyLA311 app. Let’s do our part and keep our neighborhood clean.

While the gesture is very kind, it can quickly create blight in your neighborhood. If your item could be used by someone else, we recommend calling a charity to pick up the item. If it cannot be used again, then we ask that you call us to schedule pickup BEFORE placing the item curbside.
