The Los Angeles Housing Department has recently increased the amount of assistance given to first-time homebuyers through its Moderate Income Purchase Assistance Program (MIPA). There are a few requirements to qualify for the program, one of which is attending an 8-hour Homebuyer Education Class hosted through one of their approved providers.
